Hi! I just found this place and this is soo great forum, lots of useful information!
I just started making music and I want to become a trance producer! I would like to post my songs here but I actually haven't managed to complete a song yet.
Well anyway, here is a small and bad attemp to make a trance melody :(

You're leaving yourself open to all sorts of silly replies, but I actually thought it sounded fine. It's not really my thing but I would have thought drums and bass next... |

Listen to people you admire and make trance in the style of your choice, but try and aim for a decent sound quality.
Buy having a listen to the people you admire you will get an idea of how a trance track is made, and you dont put together a cheesy newbie track like most newbies do.
You can invest in decent sample packs soundcards gear etc, but that comes later if you decide music is really what you want to do.
Post questions on here for help but try and do a search before you post questions as they have been answered before.
Also listen to people on here that have made tune's and give them feedback and then you get feedback on yours. |

Idiot...do we need another armin? or sean tyas? just imagine that lol...
stupid advice really...
trance is the style of music you can make the way you enjoy...yes, studying others works can help but entirely copying them is just bull... |

You know what you should do - find an acoustic classic (something like Fast Car) and do a trance version of it.
Who sang Fast Car anyway?
Have you got a fast car, is it fast enough that we could fly away?
We've got to make a decision, leave tonight or live and die this way.
Great.

cool sample, you are talented, now steer away from the cheese...:D
The main supersaw melody sounds like it was written by or for Cascada :D ... although it shows you have skill to write a good catchy melody :)
keep it up :) |
