Ode to Soundbar

Why I hate Soundbar:
#1. They have that little gay door guy that tries to give fashion tips to others and insist he can’t let you in with the pants and shirt you are wearing because they don’t match your shoes.
#2. They close off the main room until 11:30pm and cram everyone around 1 bar for an hour and a half. The bartender they put up front is slow and doesn’t know how to handle a crowd and only serves the loudest guy.
#3. They think they are some high roller BALLER club and treat their normal patrons like . I just don’t feel like they want me there, or my business.
#4. When the A/C breaks and the floor becomes over 90 degrees, don’t look at this as a business opportunity to sell more drinks. Consider this as a failure of you to provide a stable SAFE environment that was promised at the sale of the entry, therefore you should be gladly handing out glasses of water as opposed to suddenly refusing to give it away. “Only Bottled Water for 5$” MY ASS!
#5. Enough smoke already. Sure it looks cool, BUT I CAN’T BREATH!
#6. You ATM has a 5$ convenience fee. This is the highest I have ever seen, even at Disney World. I know your out to make money, but you realize that if someone is out of cash, they most likely are not going to withdraw, and thereby leave without spending more? Sure most people are morons and live for the now and will withdraw, but that’s just an extra 2$ over the normal 3$. Is it worth pissing people off?
#7. 11$ FOR A RED-BULL VODKA. I got more vodka in my free drink at Spybar’s open bar. Another example of the fact Soundbar is not a patron friendly club, it just seems wrong and greedy. I know it’s goal is to make as much money as possible, but there are certain ethics you should use in business as well.
Anyone else with griefs?, feel free to post them here . Maybe Soundbar will change their ways and become decent once again. |

I agree with everything you said. That was the worst night out at a club that I've had in a long time. Wanted to support Tolgar but couldn't breathe!

And another thing, they refused to let me take my bottle of water with me that I had just purchased for the trip home. I can understand if it might have contained alcohol, but it was new and the guy knew it.
Just pist me off is all, I was hot, thirsty, and had a ways to go before I got home. |

he's still there?!?!?!?
last time we were there, my friend was wearing some brand new, spotless, white tennis shoes, and it went something like this:
"Are thoth tennith those?"
"Yeah, they're pumas."
"What're pumath?"
"Um, they're shoes."
"I've never heard of pumath. You're going to wear tennith those to a club?"
"Yeah, they're brand new, and they're comfortable."
"Are you therious? I can't let you in with tennith those."
"What are you talking about?"
"What are pumath?"
...and repeat. |

Last time I was in town I made the mistake to go to Sound-bar after Housexy. Sure enough the guy at the door made some remark about my Merrell's (the shoes in question are below)
http://www.trackandtrail.com/Produc...Moto.aspx?SBG=1
because they "designed in style of sneakers." So he wouldn't let me in until the two girls I was with went ahead and talked to the girl at the door and politely asked that I be allowed. When the said girl came over to wave me in - the dude scowled at me and muttered something unheard. |

its his job to get people in the club, but everyone else does a great job keeping people out and pissing people off. |
