The problem is, many places won't accept such hardware as refundable. The most I've seen done is that they'll allow you to exchange it for the same product.

its not a software issue, he needs to connect an internal drive to his laptop.

get an external drive enclosure. just make sure it accepts your drive's interface. newegg sells them for cheap.

yaaaa i rather pay the 125 bucks to have it burnt and saved in a dvd.. time is money:thepirate

sounds like the mobo got pwned by the storm, yanking the HDs out and installing them on another machine is the solution (make sure u set it to master/slave right with them jumpers before making another thread entitled omg my hard drives have snuffed it bla bla)
