You'd only have to worry about master/slave settings if you were installing the hard drive into another computer where there are existing hard drives.
I'd still recommend the USB Enclosure into a USB Port. That way master/slave settings become moot. |

wiz: do this..run to the local computer shop. buy a 350watt power supply (PSU). install it. if this fixes the problem you have your computer back. if not remove said psu and return to store.
and id suggest getting a dell 1505n or a macbook pro 15". :) |

if the ram is dead and not registering then it will beep. do the psu thing i mentioned. this will really tell you if it is the mobo or the psu. |

no. the ram is necessary to get to the bios. |
