wow, what a shocker jon and i can't agree on something on TA. lol
i guess all i was trying to point out, is recently he has played more gigs internationally (outside of north america) than he has in his own hometown. to some (like me), that would suggest his popularity must warrant these international bookings.
and yet another thing we'll disagree on - your whole 'touring' argument. you need to be established, and be able to draw crowds in order to get booked internationally. one must have the popularity worldwide in order to get those types of gigs (or to just tour in general) - that's pretty common knowledge i'd say. |

i disagree, i don't think he's very popular outside of toronto even if he gets gigs..
it's all about knowing people/promoters and you get booked. |

obviously you have to have some kind of popularity before said "touring" begins, but you can't ignore that exposure is a part of it. Otherwise you're implying that there was a demand in Mexico for Sean before he got there. Whatever.
