I really can't believe some HBO mob show would be worthy of National News. Really, I'm not surprised if the rest of the world thinks we're a bunch of idiots for considering this and Paris Hilton "news."

considering this is arguably the best written show in tv history id say its worth all the buzz its getting

oh and I loved the finale!

Still doesn't explain the need for National headlines here. It's understandable seeing it on Entertainment Tonight and shows dealing with other like-minded rubbish, but something is just wrong when I tuned into Nightline looking for something intelligent to watch and boom! This pops up. I suppose dumbing down American citizens with flashy tabloid drama by the major media networks clearly is, "A sign of the Times."

It's a great way of distracting you from important issues. America isn't the only country where this takes place.

You would be wrong. The sopranos is a smart show, with A LOT of social criticism built into it. It's not american idol, it's not friends. It's well written, well produced, and actually carries a message about american society. You are right about paris hilton and co. being overrrepresented, and yes may be the sopranos don't need to be on the front page, but saying that every tv show is evil is a bit overdoing :p

Not to mention it's probably maintained for several years, the finest level of acting the modern world has seen. I'd say the finale to almost a decade of it, is definitely newsworthy.

before spouting out some mindless drivel how about watching the show for yourself, maybe there is a reason why not every show on TV gets mentioned in the front page while Sopranos does...just maybe? seriously stop making yourself sound like a ing twat

Never said t.v. shows were evil. Not even attacking those who are entertained by it. I simply expressed an opinion that it doesn't belong on front page news.

LOL, how 'bout that? Little fanboys getting so overworked about those who don't share their same praise in this show. Why should I waste my time watching 6 seasons of this show if the ending is so unfulfilling and hated by many? And no, ending your posts with British expletives doesn't make you sound any more credible. /Fail.
