Since I had a wicked time DJing at Dark Matter 2 on June 9th, 2007, I am very glad to say that the live recording of my set turned out well enough to warrant sharing it! This set features several different styles of full-on psychedelic trance, moving from dark and aggressive beats through a series of heavy hitters into an upbeat and euphoric conclusion. With a full two hours to work with, I was able to orchestrate a complete tour of the harmonic spectrum, eventually ending with a song from Logic Bomb’s new album, just as the set began. I would like to dedicate this one to all those who came out on Saturday and gave their best on the dance floor. It was a small party, but it seemed like we all had a blast! Enjoy the tunes!

Try to get into Psy as much as possible but I really think it all sounds the same here. As narror minded as that may sound none of these tracks stood out for me.

Mixing seemed pretty good though, if it was a live set aswell, even better.

Just wasn't for me.

Strange :) but thanks for the feedback...

the same applies to euro trance and some of the recognised producers have the same formula ..

to scared to be different

in the end it's like in all genres .. producers stick to a winnin formula ..

Luckily there are always producers pushing at the envelope... it just so happens that I don't find too much of that going on with the high-energy styles. There is a particular dance floor aesthetic that remains remarkably effective; producers tend to line up and borrow the same tricks from one another. Still, when I am playing full-on, I attempt to program a set such that different approaches can be heard (Penta is unlike Prometheus just as Electric Universe is unlike Shift, and so on). I guess it depends if you have the ear for it or not... but either way, the dance floor ate this one right up :)

BTW know anyonemore more like Electric universe or Protoculture? They have a very kinda of traveley feel that goa replicates with some astral projection songs and other goa songs (Kabalah for astral projection) but there just doesn't seem to be too much of it in the way of psytrance. Any similar artists to the protoculture/late electric universe feel would be great.
BTW I meen songs like: Journey into the subconcious, Out of reality, Hitched, high orbit
