Consistency is boring. The staff are what make the place feel like home (to me).

None the less - my option of the place remains the same. Great venue, great people, good sound - inconsistent atmosphere.
By "consistent" I wasn't implying playing the same music or sound all the time. Variability in music is great - I too applaud the effort of the bookers to vary the performances.
By consistent I meant having a reliable party atmosphere - which for me the venue hasn't had (I've never had a bad night there, but I've had some relatively uninspiring nights there).

i'm biased but i really like that club.
probably as much for the staff and the owners as anything... the owners are real passionate music lovers themselves, and it really shows imo.
i think it fills an important venue void of an underground, medium sized type place that manages to book great talent yet still remain intimate. its comfortable but also crazy when the mood hits... not an easy balance to strike.
