I took it out of context, you asked if you should define your threads better, the answer is yes. My bad

There we go nice and simple...would prefer a few artists in there but that does it.

Praga Kahn / Lords of Acid --> Jam & Spoon / Union Jack / Age of Love / Leftfield --> Tiesto / AvB / PvD / Armin --> Sasha / Digweed / Hed Kandi / MaW / Frankie Knuckles / (Derrick May) --> (Zabiela / Fanciulli) / Burridge / Craig Richards / Tony Thomas --> Luke Fair / (Danny Howells) / Steve Porter --> Exercise One / (Richie) / John Gaiser / Joris Voorn

Etc ...

Very rough synopsis. Artists in parentheses don't necessarily reflect one particular genre but fit most appropriately to the corresponding genre for all intents and purposes.

There's no clear proggression for me since i listened to so much various genre's when i got started in the early 90's, but i guess i started with rave (Marusha, M.O.M, RMB etc.. Too many to mention really).. And Eurodance played a huge role in my life all throughout the 90's and still does, i guess you could call it my first love! Anyways the album that totally blew my head was Westbam - We'll Never Stop Living This Way from 1997, this is still my favourite album of all time. Listened to a lot of trance around the 97-99 era, nowadays it's a rich blend of House (Mostly Tech but a lot of Deep, Prog and even Commercial!) Tech-House, Breaks, Electro.. Not much Trance these day's (Still waiting for that mix Skip ;) )

So it's been a long and lovely journey, that'll probably (hopefully) never end.

1990
Snap! Technotronic, Culture Beat
Blümchen!! Marusha, M.O.M.
Westbam
PvD, BT
Ferry..
Marco V, Howells, Agoria
Gui Boratto, Hystereo, Ananda, Trentemoller, Hook'n'Sling
2007
Mr.Mystery
Edit:

Oh, forget it.

#1 Sign your spending too much time on a forum is when you sit there and bitch about a thread that is made, especially when theyre asking 2 different things.

Journey through Trance and EDM is totally different...do I gotta define my thread now for you message board Ninjas? lol

Uhh dude it was on like page 2 when this thread was made.

Ghost Raver
Eurodance -> Trance -> Hardcore

That's about it I think.
mi+sos
Goa ->Psy ->"classic" trance ------> present: probably every genre of electronic music
