Contacting long-lost siblings

So, I have a younger (half)sister I haven't seen since my dad died. She'd be about 14 years old now.
In a few years, after she's gone through the turmoil of being a teenager and , I'd like to get in touch with her.
My question is, has anybody been through something like this before?? I'm worried how she'll feel about it, how it will affect her, etc.
The thing is, my step-mother is a cunt...so I don't even know if Shivahn (my sister) knows she has other siblings. This might be a total shock to her, and I don't want to ruin her relationship with her mother by exposing what a lying greedy whore she is.
Obviously this could go either way. But I prefer it go the good way.

No she's got a brother. But I agree, I think she'd be happy to know she's got sisters. Especially sisters that were produced by the same father. Sort of a link to the dad she never knew. I'm sure I could answer a lot of questions for her and help her fill in the gaps.
On the flip side, I'd hate for it to stir up negative thoughts towards her mother, or upset her in any way. But I guess that's a risk I'm willing to take...and be supportive of if it does happen. I'd totally be there for her and help her work through it.
I want to do this for my own reasons too. I want to know my little sister! I want to see what she looks like, and learn what kind of person she is! Family is just so important I think, and I want her to know that she's got support if she ever needs it. :) |

yeah, that's really cool. obviously i don't know her or what she's like, but personally if it were me i'd be really excited if i found out i had an older half-sister... especially if she only grew up with a brother.

LMFAO! I seriously wonder about it, lol. Like, I wonder what kind of values my step-mother taught her? She could be a total trashbag whore and have kids of her own by the time I get in touch with her. Hell, my step-mother was only 29 or 30 and already had a kid when she snagged my dad's money..errr...dad. Maybe she raised my sister to be a manipulative cunt as well!
