what about the small shadow directly under the bat on the dude's shirt?
it appears, given the shadows in the rest of the picture, that the shadow is coming from the bat, and hence is incredibly close to him (aka hitting him in the face) |

unless hes already had massive reconstructive surgery on his right jaw then its stretched and off kilter by enough to warrant it.
Or hes getting hit in the face with a baseball bat.
He looks otherwise normal. My theory is on option 3 |

I like the red-haired girl at the bottom of the picture more. She looks completely oblivious to the fact that there's a swirling baseball bat careening towards the crowd at 65mph mere feet away from her.
I'm sure that, wherever Darwin is, he was on the edge of his seat with an "I told ya so!" ready.
The mere proposition that Darwin would possess an objective viewpoint from some pseudo-religious after-world may or may not be ironic... |
