Stuff like Ferry's new Passport compilation? Not just Tiesto's stuff that I can find in Best Buy...

Thanks,
Keith

There is a Satellite Record shop somewhere, I've never been to it so I'm not sure what they sell in the way of cds, but they used to spam the Atlanta forums all the time. I just buy my cds online.
keithos27
where online?

i usually like to get the european releases (sometimes they have different tracklistings) but i'm sick of the exchange rate and shipping costs...

hah, well I guess you are sorta stuck. I get 'em through juno, beatport, amazon, all the regular spots. You'll have to pay shipping, it's just one of the costs of liking music that isn't easily attainable on the American market in tangible analog form :p

why the hell doesn't atlanta have a virgin music store!?!? :whip:

I thought Satellite closed? I would imagine that you can buy some dn'b/break beat cds at the 404 store run by Mayhem.

When did it close? I remember people saying recently that they could pick up tickets for shows like Holden and whatnot at Satellite.

Satellite closed a few months back. Brett and I are in the process of launching an online version of the store. (propelrecords.com) It's in beta form right now, so feel free to poke around and let us know what you think.

The inventory on the site right now is what was left over when the store closed. We're working out a lot of the specifics and technical stuff with our distributors right now, but when we officially launch, there's going to be a flood of inventory. :)

I'll keep you guys posted.

PS: There should be an article about it in the next issue of Creative Loafing.

So...are there any other stores in Atlanta that we should check out? Your truly is moving to the area soon, and I'd like an in-person shopping experience if possible...

DJChrisB: Nice site. I'll be in touch about those OM and Salted promos for sale :D
