Just got back from a vacation after Eclipse.....so it's a little late but here's my review.
After thinking we'd never find the place between the isolation, bad weather/fog, and really suspect signage, we got there just before midnight on Friday night.
The place was soaked but the mood was fairly good just after getting in just after midnight. After 4-5 short bouts of rain it cleared up around 3-4 AM, and the real fun began. Kox Box/Pixel/Protoculture were ing unreal. I have not heard a better psy-trance sets in my life and the music these three played set the mood in a way words can't justify (especially coming on to sunrise on Saturday morning). Once sunrise hit...and it seemed like everyone got a collective second wind. The moment the sun came over that hill was truely magical (and that IS NOT an overstatement). I will always remember it...always.
I only could stay for one night due to my vacation schedule (left around 10:00 on Sat morning), but I seen enough. The event was incredible.
Anyone who has not been to Eclipse (or any other psy event that occurs during the day) should really make an effort. The people, atmosphere, vibe, and outdoor environmental surroundings really create something that you will never find in Toronto.
To all that went and had a blast...I share your memories - to some degree. It was truly a spiritual event. |

Partially disagreed :) true, you won't find outdoor surroundings like that in Toronto, but the people and the vibe you sure will... I think what sets Eclipse apart is the sheer size of the production; it is the largest gathering of its kind in this part of the world. That we don't have here in Toronto... but the feeling? We sure do. |

I forgot to ask.....did anyone else catch the guy who was dressed up kind of like a bat (i.e. dark black cape, dark clothes, and big goggles?). The way he was weaving in and out of the crowd without bothering anyone cracked me up.:)
The were also a ton of people who were moving really well to the rhythm. Psy-trance fans sure can bust a move! It was fun to get my grove on and see others so into their own vibe as well. I caught myself smiling to myself multiple times....the vibe was simply that good. |
