I don't care what iPod/Apple haters say, that thing is amazing and definitely worth the money. I wouldn't mind having one, although I'd use probably less than 15% of what it offers. All I need is incoming and outgoing calls, SMS, calculator, calendar, alarms, notes and stopwatch/countdown. All of those options are pretty much basic on most modern cell phones.

Logic does not compute. :conf:
Ted Promo
I can only imagine how many defects are going to be in that first batch.

I can't wait for this to come out, a 3 in 1 touchscreen beauty is the best alternative imo to people who don't feel like carrying around a laptop for their entertainment needs. The official release date is June 29th.

I hope somme bootlegger or hacker comes out with a sim card that allows you to use sprint service on it.

you need to read up on your phones and the underlying technology. Sprint = CDMA. iPhone = GSM. you cant use a GSM phone on CDMA. period. you are outta luck. :)

- When I do need an MP3 player, I don't need anything fancy, and I don't need to see anything in color or the album covers. Just play my damn music.
- I don't need to watch TV or movies when I'm away from home. If I'm away from home then that means I have stuff I'm doing, and if I were to watch a movie it'd be at the theatre.
- I don't need to video record anything. Usually I have my camera on me, which not only is more powerful than a camera phone but also comes with video capabilities.
- I don't have a need for a camera phone.

What I do need is a phone that can make calls and can text. That's it. I don't need a portable entertainment center. Does it look nice? Yes. If it were under $100 and came with basic features, I'd get it. But it's overly-priced and comes with way too much unnecessary crap. People are becoming far too obsessed on television and senseless media. While many of these features are innovating, I'd rather see them put to use in a way that can help people, not saturate society with . Pass.

get a Motorola Motofone F3. they are impossible to get directly in the states but im sure canada has them. they are normally sold as prepaid phones. they do literally NOTHING but send/recieve calls and texts. it has an alarm clock but thats the extent of its features. it also has a 17day standby time and 8hr talk time. oh and they look pretty sweet too!

oh and the F3 is a dual-band phone so dont even bother buying one from anywhere but mexico, argentina or canada.

i have one (i just got it and have to get it unlocked) and i love it! it cost me $50 no contract. got it in mexico.

That pretty much sums it up. It has a lot of features that are interesting to have, but far from necessary. Really, who needs album covers on mp3 player? But you do have to admit that the rotating sensors feature is neat. :p

That's a bad advice right there. Don't get Motorola at all, no matter what model. :p
