| Holy ing . Even If you have seen DJ Vibe & Grondin before, you missed out on something epic if you were not there Saturday.I started the night off at Stereobar and although the style of beats isn't really my bag, Domenic Pandolpho did a good job at playing to the crowd. I made my way into the main room with some visiting friends around 3 and the place was already starting to bump. Grondin came out of the gates hard, so hard in fact i was wondering if i would have anything left in the tank for Vibe, or if Vibe would be able to keep the tempo as high. Boy did he ever. Both these men absolutely grabbed the crowd by the balls with pulsing rythms that turned everyone in sight into insane dancefloor derelicts. The dancers were tearing ass this night, the heat didn't matter, the place was packed but you did anything to find place..an utter audio destruction of sick Iberian sounds on a system suited to perfection for it. This was my 6th Vibe night and musically by far the best. You all know I'm a tech house man, but I think I'm gonna go broke buying some of the stuff I heard Saturday night on Juno today. Nothing like tribal when offered by a true master who brings the dark and leaves the diva at home.ing Fubar and the most fun I have had at Stereo in ages. It was almost ruined by a sketchy grabby but thankfully the music was great enough not to let it dampen my mood.Good seeing Allied and Crew,B018,and had a blast partying with 2 friends from Texas who were left in awe by the wonders this club can provide when everything is right. It felt like coming home. |

Destroying the place is an understatement. I think the only better tribal set i've ever heard was from Steve Lawler @ Aria in 2003...and this was pretty damn close to it if not just as good. I want more now.
I am buying Grondin and Vibes Cd that is on Mile End records today. If only the rest of the world knew about Grondin...then again being our little secret means we get to keep him all to ourselves. These 2 men together are just brilliant. Would love to see them go back to back. |

stereo just raised the bar, as grondin & vibe topped any night i've had in london. thanks for the filth, montreal -- afterhours is meant to be dark, dirty & loud, and you do it right xx |
