I am not saying that there should be no teasing at all, but there is a big difference between playful name calling and unacceptable behavior. Once someone crosses the line, they need to be beaten about the head and shoulders. At least back in the day, no one acted out because the nuns would beat you. It somewhat kept people in check. (and if the nuns didn't beat you, your parents would smack the hell out of you for being disrespectful).

I am not saying we need to overreact to everything but to say that words are not damaging is just plan ignorant.

Actually, such a strong reaction is usually a defense mechanism that would have, in this case, developed after being experiencing, not dealing out, those sort of attacks.

Might not be so in this case, but in general, it's more prevalent.

But no, being called by a different name does not qualify. Not even ing close. Get a spine, christ.

If you had any idea how often Myra and I turn to each other and say "WHERE YOU GONNA PUT IT? :gsmile: " you'd know why I can never hate you, even if you are a Sega-ing-gene-fag.

I don't play Halo 2. You see, I have these things called a job, and a life, and I spend most of my time on those, so I don't have much time for games. And when I do have some downtime, and decide to play a game, I'm sure as hell not going to choose something as stupid and mindless as an fps.

In case you hadn't noticed, this is an online message board I'm writing for, not a ing book. You write to the audience, that's English 101, as you will someday learn, if you ever reach that level of education.

I'm just addressing your stupid remark, as well as your defense against it. once again, I have to refer to the sciences of BASIC social behavior and development.

If you have a scientific argument then make it. But just saying "I refer to the sciences" is precisely the absence of an argument.
