i hated being 2nd in line (the judge), cus I'd never pay attention and i tended to always side with the wrong person "WHAT? WHAT? ARE YOU BLIND?!"

Thank you! :)

We used to play a cool variant of dodge ball we called "skittle ball".

Each team has three small cones way up the back of their court on each corner and in the centre. If you could knock all three down you automatically won.

Also, four square was the . We also played with a tennis ball.
I beleive in the American version of four square, you actually caught the ball before throwing it into the other square?

In our version, you just hit the ball with your hand, if you even palmed it you were out. So much fun back in the day.

If you hit it into someone's square and yelled 'DEATH RALLY!' it meant that neither of you could hit it into anyone else's square, if you did, you lost. Whoever lost was demoted by two squares, not the usual one.

If you yelled 'SWAP RALLY!' it was the same deal except you would swap squares.

Awesome game at lunchtime in primary school.

Damn, that sounds hard. We always played with the typical playground ball.

I remember in my elementary school we had a fatter version of that ball that we used to play Kickball. Those were good times. I never cared too much for Four Square and every time I played Dodgeball I'd get into a fight. Kickball was where it was at for me.

1. four square was the , i kicked major ass at that game

2. the year before i graduated my gf's parents got dodgeball taken out of the curriculum :haha: i only took gym freshman and sophomore year, but i know a lot of people who were really pissed. if i'm remembering it right, it was basically because absolutely everyone just threw them at my girlfriend/her ginormous breasts. lol and her family still laughs at it. not like a big success story, but more in a 'hahahaha yeah that was probably excessive, but who the 's gonna stop me' kinda way
they're hilarious

Frenchie, that is a variation of dodge ball, I think there might have been a special name for it. I've played it both ways. There was also what we referred to as "military dodge ball" which was played standing against a wall and people wailing them at you. Last to survive won, I think.

And no, the "American version" of Four Square didn't involve you catching the ball and then throwing it... but there was a "special rule" that the 4th square could create called a "bus stop" which allowed you to do that.

i remember this in elementary school...loved it. i loved the "grudge" some people got if you first tried to get them out, haha.

4 squares + tetherball + dodgeball = my childhood school life. :)

i remember when i was young, i caught the bus to school, and when I got to school there would be a bunch of either 4 squares or dodgeball games in the process, and i would run to try to get into the game as quickly as possible. i wonder where all that energy went? i can barely drive to work without thinking about my bed. :(
