from Ferry's site:
With no less than seventeen years of studio experience, a double row of golden records on the wall, ten thousands of air miles earned as a DJ and his recent election as the number six DJ on the planet in the DJ Mag Top 100, Ferry Corsten is one of the greatest dance music artists in the world. His hits ‘Out Of The Blue’ from 1999 (as System F), ‘Gouryella’ from 1999 (as Gouryella), ‘Barber’s Adagio For Strings’ from 2000, ‘Punk’ from 2001, ‘Rock Your Body Rock’ from 2003, ‘Fire’ from 2006 and ‘Beautiful’ from 2007 (all recorded under his own name) have made dance floors around the world throb to his beats. Ferry’s most recent artist album ‘LEF’ is a hit everywhere - with the singles ‘Fire’, ‘Junk’ and ‘Beautiful’ – and it was one of the best-selling dance albums in America in 2006. Ferry: “Over the years I’ve had a lot of club and chart hits under different artist names. But four years ago I decided to release music and perform under my own name Ferry Corsten and to broaden my sound. You could say that I’ve taken off my various masks.”
On 27 October, UDC will host a spectacular event around Ferry Corsten in the Rotterdam Ahoy’, with the theme ‘Masquerade’, referring to the masks Ferry has put aside. After having completely organised mega-events around Carl Cox (three editions) and Armin van Buuren (two episodes) in the legendary Ahoy stadium, UDC will again present a groundbreaking dance event with a top international artist. Full-On Ferry is on the one hand an event where the various musical facets of Ferry Corsten can be expressed; trance, techno and electro. On the other, it is a festive reunion of his fellow DJs and producers who, like Ferry, have produced music under a number of aliases. “I want to throw a big party with these artists, with an emphasis on partying. A dance event revolves around the experience of all of those present, not just one person. That’s why the co-operation with various other artists in a huge event like this appeals to me.”
now this is gonna be one hell of a party! first Armin-Only in Ahoy, and now Ferry in Ahoy OMG!

imagine 9-10hours of Ferry

i didn't say i'm going to Armin-Only in Ahoy, although, i probably will (if there is one again this year..). i had an amazing time last year in Ahoy. I would love to see Ferry in-concert :)
He cancelled his last party that was suppose to be at Heineken-Music Hall in Amsterdam. Hopefully Ferry in-concert will finally happen this year  |

here's the costs for armin only last year. I spent a weekend:
airfare: 450
hotel: 350 (175 a night * 2)
ticket: 40
food: 100
substances: 100
total: 1040
I didn't pay for a single train ride the entire time i was there. Obviously you can save a bunch by staying at a hostel. Plus you can skip out on a night in a hotel by storing your in a locker at the airport for about 8 euro, and not getting a hotel/hostel the night you do the event. |
1040 sounds about right.. but like you said, you can save a lot of $$$ by finding a cheaper hotel. plus, the amount of money you spend on food/drinks/etc.. varies from person-to-person.
USD to Euro conversion absolutely sux! so while u're there,u gotta save any way you can. |
