I was watching some this morning before I went to work...
But yeah, London has to be by far the best event of the day!
Might catch some live on the internet as I'm at work all day

Damien Rice and David Gray did a duet cover of "Que Sera, Que Sera" (w/ switched in enviro friendly lyrics lol), it was very well done. Hilary where were you on this one?

Lucky you haha..i hate watchign anything thats not HD..
Isn't Rio an outside event? They were going to shut down the event yesterday cause the authorities didn't think they had enough security for 700,000 people...but they decided to go forward anyways haha. Now i'd like to see that crowd on HD! |

The Australian coverage last night was pretty good. It never ceases to amaze me how many good musicians Australia has.
The entire 'climate change' theme is bull, but hey, maybe people are finally getting the message that we have been wasteful for too long. I hope climate change will disapear to straight conservation. |

I was going to rip the audio for the London concert, but somebody screwed up the sound, and all you can hear is distortion coming from the left and right channels. booo urn...Live Aid had done a good job of having premo sound.
Does any body else think that the performers sound flat (or even off key) in London? The artists just dont sound as powerful as I have heard them in the past...weird...
PS - I hope they bought enough carbon offsets for all those lights :p |

haha..i wondering how they were going to compensation for all of the lighting/sound/energy they're wasting haha
I find that artists usually sound flat and off key when they perform live, especially when its broadcasted through TV/Internet/Radio..so not really any different than normal. |

I really notice it now for Duran Duran, they sound like and they're having tech problems all over the place. |

The Australia sound was better.
Actually even the Japanese performers last night didn't sound right. All the mics were too low, you could hear the instruments just fine, but the artists were washed out. Common guys, this is one of the largest concert events in the world, and they cant get the levels right? lol.
PS - I'm pressed at the speed of which BellGobeMedia has integrated MuchMusic and their other stations. |
