(CNN) -- The new seven wonders of the world were named Saturday following an online vote that generated server-crushing traffic in its final hours. The final tally produced this list of the world's top human-built wonders:

• The Great Wall of China

• Petra in Jordan

• Brazil's statue of Christ the Redeemer

• Peru's Machu Picchu

• Mexico's Chichen Itza pyramid

• The Colosseum in Rome

• India's Taj Mahal

w0000000000000t for Petra!!!

Whats amazing is that there is a new festival in Jordan called The Prana Petra Festival that was started this year, and it was kicked off by none other than Tiesto himself.
Party was in sick. The location really emphisized the 'Elements of Life'.

I'll post the official pics once their up

Yes Petra is indeed one of the most beautiful and astonishing wonders of the world. One have to see it to understand how amazing it is. An entire city carved out of rock.

However I'm a bit sad that Alhambra didn't make it. It's astonishingly beautiful.

Wasn't the Great Wall already on the old list?
Gauss
Taj Mahal definitely deserves it, it's absolutely astounding. :)

Visited the Taj last year. The precision involved in making that structure was/is amazing. Definitely want to see Peru's Machu Picchu and the Great Wall.
