BEST STEPHEN KING HORROR ADAPTATION SINCE MISERY !

aight, went to see this on sat. with some sort of expectations cuz ever since i seen the trailer about 3/4 months ago, i wanted to check it out.
based on Stephen King's short story of the same name, its about an author [Cusack] who visits supposed "haunted" places and writes about his experiences. mind you, he is a complete skeptic about supernatural forces personally and writes rather what his fans want to hear.

that is until he checks into 1408...

not much more to be said without spoiling so i wont get into the plot much more.. i'll just say that, the movie builds and builds until he gets inside of 1408... it literally sucks you in from this point on til the end. its a mind of a movie like no other and one of John Cusack's best performances.. imo since "Being John Malkovich." whatever my mind had caluculated that would happen, it totally does the opposite and flips it on you... there are mad "OH " type of moments thru out the film...

well written, well directed and a superb performance by Cusack..and short but effective performance from Samuel L. Jackson.. you really need to watch this in the theatre WITH GOOD SOUND as the sound FX really add to the the film. if youre a fan of psychological horror, its MUST see.

c0r version : if you like mind horror/thriller and/or enjoy stephen king's stories, this film delivers.

tek-thumbs up.

i didn't find it anything special...cool concept and all, but i wouldn't by any means call it a "mind of a movie." i was happy i only paid 5$ to see it.

i "like" scary movies but my heart can't handle it. anyhow yeah federer beat nadal :whip: i wanted rafa to win so badly and was so excited during the fourth but once the fifth go started i got sad :(

yea! to federer. as much as i wanted nadal to win to end federer's run of wimbledon titles, federer's 5th title is by far his best. his wins over roddick and nadal(1st time) were yawns.

oh btw, about the movie ..... yeah i wanted to see it, but ended up seeing 'Transformers' instead. i might see it this week depending .... and i thought 'The Secret Window' with Johnny Deep was pretty good. anyone who did not read the book would be surprised about how it ended imo.

Secret Window was ok, but i coulndt get into it as "Identity" came out first and both movies shared similar theme.
