ok, so... i want to eat some Advil PM fairly soon so i can pass out and sleep for like 14 hours, but i just ate some sushi for dinner. should i eat them now on a full stomach or should i wait a bit for my food to digest? i'm not sure if it makes a difference either way, but i'm just worried that eating them on a full stomach will delay their effect.

I'd say that taking them later on would also delay their effect. Usually you take tablets on a full stomach with/after food, so I guess u could try it. If it don't work, u can kick me tomorrow

Taking that on an empty stomach will probably slightly delay the effects but its still a good idea to have food in your stomach since acetaminophen would damage the lining of an empty stomach.

No it doesn't make a difference. It gets absorbed in your small intestine. ;)

tylenol PM's do the trick for me. just one is fine and i have to make sure i take it early. for me, it always takes an hour or so to kick in, so i take it around 9 if i think i need it. i sleep like a log when i take those and i'm usually groggy in the morning, but it's nothing a cup of coffee won't cure. it's not like i'm dragging ass all day. it's just harder to get out of bed in the morning which i hate, but i'd rather deal with that than a sleepless night.
for the most part i don't have trouble sleeping at all, but i definitely have my nights where i'm wired and cleaning and have lots of energy/thoughts and i can tell it's going to be hard to sleep, so i keep those around.
oh yea, nytol is pretty good too. it's a sleep aid minus the pain reliever.
*edit* oh yea, and i dont think food in your stomach makes a difference. |

i could use these sometimes. the other night i randomly got up & walked the dog round the block in my slippers and pj shorts (with a t-shirt) cos it was 4am and i couldn't sleep. I have dentists in the morning, so that means i won't sleep well tonight either

I saw this thread and, for about 5 seconds, wondered how sleeping could cause AIDS.
