Yeah, exactly. I will play a game on the console of my liking. I really don't care if its available on other consoles. Sometimes porting problems might occur but this won't affect me. |

i have to disagree with you on this one DA.
the last generation xbox only had a 20% market share, with the ps2 dominating with 70%+ share.
this generation is different, with xbox360 clearly in the lead, 6.5M xbox360 vs 1.5M PS3 in North America. That's almost 500% difference.
furthermore, MGS has proven to be a big seller in North America, and not in RPG-happy japan. with such a huge xbox360 installed base in NA so far, it would make economical sense to bring the franchise over to Microsoft.

because gamers are elitists, and they don't like the game being made available to people who they deem as being uninformed gamers for having bought another console in the first place, either due to blind hatred, or because they fear that the subsequent releases may cater to the desires of those masses, rather than to the "true" gamers. |

I agree with all of that except the last sentence, replace "true gamers" with "themselves" and I'm golden. ;)

I have no link, and no proof as of now, but I DID read on another forum from the Sony E3 press conference that MGS4 has been confirmed a PS3 exclusive. Take that as you wish, but I'm pretty sure the news is all over the web by now anyway.
Good for Sony, they need more guns. |
