/pointless question. | because soy does not have a high enough sugar content to make it practical to make a syrop out of it.
just dont confuse corn syrop with cornhole syrop when you are buying products...... |

| it's cheaper than cane sugar, transportable as a liquid, and doesn't suffer the same taxation as cane sugar. that's basically why it's used over beet/cane sugar all the time now. |

I agree. I always watch out, because it may say "Contains pure pomegranate" then you look on the ingredients, and it says, "Water, pomegranate from concentrate, high fructose corn syrup"
I hate that. I usually don't buy anything with ingredients I can't pronounce, or picture in my head as a fruit, grain, vegetable, etc. |

the high fructose corn syrup used in beverages is usually 55% fructose 45% glucose, so really it's barely any different than regular sugar. |

That's what I mean!! See someone understands. When I am looking at the ingredients I always see corn syrup & I know it's super high in fat...it's so bad for you YET everything contains it, even the most random foods that I don't even think have a need for it. |

corn syrup has no fat content. it's a substitute for sugar and tastes the same. |

| quote: | | High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) refers to a group of corn syrups which have undergone enzymatic processing in order to increase their fructose content and are then mixed with pure corn syrup (100% glucose) to reach their final form. |
I'm not saying anything about nutrition. I just don't consume anything that's been "Processed". All natural baby. |
