hello ppl.. thank you to everyone who made it, you guys were troopers and really contributed into making Rhode Kill a success.

unfortunately, i got really sick on saturday after doing some work on the deck by the water. pretty sure it was heat exaustion cuz i took 2 cold showers afterwards but my body was still burning up and drained out all my energy... i was never the same after this..

the night setting by the deck was probably one of if not THE most amazing atmosphere ive ever felt in my life. it really sux that i coulndt get to fully enjoy it due to me being sick, i didnt even spin.. and thats saying alot...

thanx to all the DJs, music was really on point, at least what ive heard. if we do another one i will be givin out time slots to minimize the confusion that was created due to not having one. I apologize yall, i was really out of it on saturday and few things i couldnt get to cover.

jay & gerrard, sorry you guys didnt get to play til sunday, you guys were originally supposed to play during the day on Saturday but Gerrard didnt make it til late sat. night and apparently the boston kids took over the day time tent while i was in the house miserable.

once again thank you to everyone came thru and supporting Sunnysideup. i'll promise you youll be seeing alot more quality events in the future.

oh and last but not least, STEVEN & SHEILA, I LOVE YOU GUYS AND JUST KNOW THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING....

Ok the computer just ate my post but here goes!

Thank you so much to everyone who was here this weekend. I am still overwhelmed by how much, fun, music, good attitude, helpfulness, and tiki torch dancing I witnessed this weekend!

The Rhode Kill experience had many parts to it:

The friday pre-party that no-one can quite remember...

Early Saturday morning(everyone likes a 45 pound dog running across you as a wake up, RIGHT?)
Seriously, there was a lot of prep work left to do. It rained buckets the week before, leaving just three days for Steven to build the dock/stage, and in the process he blew up his elbow! Enter the guest calvary rounded up by Tae. THANKS TO EVERYONE who hauled all those heavy boards, laid them out, hammered in the last posts, and screwed it all down.(You, me, and the Party Gods know who you are)

Saturday afternoon: The grillin' and chillin' began. The music starts at the Dog&Duck, Casa Grovers' very own pub. John Brown played great set which included a special tune with vocals by our very own Steven-neil. The "Boston Boys" and Chis Luzz tag teamed like the maniacs that they are revving everyone up for what was to come.

Meanwhile...The dock prep continued. THANK YOU to everyone who hung banners, moved and set up sound equipment, iced drinks, grilled, filled tikkis, changed light bulbs, found power cords, set up tents, and moved chairs. THANKS!!!

Then after the sun went down, something amazing happened,,, all of the efforts of hosts, guests and DJs paid off. The torches led the way through the woods (Friday the 13th meets Indiana Jones' Temple of Doom) and we all debauched at the dock for 12 hours. SOLID

The music was incredible. I can't describe how amazing a flow of tag teaming madness we all heard. Mark Ingram, John Brown, Chris Luzz, Andy Ward, Patrick Barry, Zak and Keryn, and Michael McClean, your combined efforts were superhuman. I have never been able to hear all of you the way I did that night and it was wonderful. I am truly humbled by the caliber of talent that played at our little dock by the river. THANK YOU> THANK YOU> THANK YOU!!!!

The music still filled the air as the sun filled the sky. Eventually the generator used up all the gas and we slept. (Well most of did)

Sunday afternoon. We refilled the genny and started down at the docks again. Thank you Jay, Gerard, and Mike for patiently waiting until Sunday to play. The music was uplifting and healed all those still standing. (Except JB, who with Mike Massive, sunk our canoe, stepped on a rusty shovel and got glued back together at the hospital)
The weather was perfect all weekend until around six, when it clouded up and threatened to rain. I'm sorry that there wasn't more time for you guys to spin. THANK YOU!!

Then everyone pitched in and we packed up, cleaned up and put it all to bed. THANK YOU ALL!!!

I'm still reeling from having this great experience. THANK YOU TAE,AKKO, AND STEVEN for everything thing you've done, do, and will do for Sunnysideup. I can't wait to put on more events with you and our friends!! -Sheila

this wkend was def something that we all needed thanks to tae sheila and steven for putting this together. i mean if you think about it you had ppl coming from different states to drive hours for a party says a lot about everyone that was involved whether it was the ppl that hosted the party ( who i don t need to name:))to those that spun to the ppl that came just because it was something different, each element that ppl brought with them to rhode island helped make this past wkend that much more enjoyable. it truly was something special. and steven and sheila it was an honor to play at your house and i hope to get that honor again soon and don't worry i promise not to have the cops knocking on the door while i'm spinning ;) which leads me to my next question:

WHEN'S THE NEXT PARTY?!?!?!?:whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:

ps. only bad side was at the end of it all i looked like i was in the ring with clubber lang the way those mosquitos ate my face up i mean who gets a bite on their eyelid ffs?!?!?!#@#$^%
