is there a "computer job" i can get with just high school graduation that would allow me to waste the majority of the day on the internet reading about synthesizers and spaceships?
any ideas? I always hear of people having jobs where they have time to waste...i want one. |

Um come to my school and run for SGA, you seem smart enough I guess...
And you would be working on getting a BA degree. |

You could take 3 really easy classes. Or look up and see if there is a call center near where you live. My friend worked for a call center for dell he made like 12 dollars an hour. |

| yeah, there is. apply for a phone/mail support job for an internet service provider. where i work, there are no demands on higher education or whatever. most people are starting there right after high school. you basically sit and answer the phone and get to surf the net all the time. |

You could work a ty helpdesk phone job for a telco or something where you tell people how to turn there dsl modems on and off. Another option is you could self study and get an MCP (Really fekkin easy to obtain cert) in server or desktop and land a not too bad helpdesk role.
Last job I was in I worked at a girls school and there was little to no work happening just about all day... Beleve me there is only so much time of the day you can spend wasting time on the internet before getting over it. |

i used to work in a small computer repair store, pretty much ran the store by my self most days. a lot of times there wasnt much, if anything to do except go online. only problem was that it was all commission, 50% of the final sale price, no hourly pay or any of that. not really bad by itself, but with no customers..
at the end i was only making like $80 in a week.
maybe try a job in telemarketing? i think they get computers |
