I've given it one listen and i was DEF impressed:eyes:
I guess its a matter of taste (maybe) but i dont see how anyone can complain about too much mixing.
I thought Digweed, his masterful self, made an INCREDIBLE mix here.
Programming doesnt get much better than this imo...
Right from the beginning its like he was on a mission to take you somewhere...and DEEP.
Never let go of me all the way through to the end.
Of course, a great job by John Digweed:eyes: |

I thought this was badass. Digweed in full rave mode with this one.
Plan on playing a track or two this Friday :p |
Full rave mode? You got to be ing kidding. Way too dull and slow to be played at a rave. I'm disappointed with this. The set has its moments, and I lean towards the housey techno tracks, but for the most part, this does nothing for me. I won't knock his mixing or programming, they're obviously spot on here, but that means nothing for me if I don't like the tracks. Ah well, guess I'm more of a deep house fan than techno. |

I meant a good rave. Sorry, I should have specified. |

Anyone else notice the weird sounds appearing like 6 or 7 times in Marc - Marzenit - Spheere? At first I thought it was a car or bicycle braking hard outside, but no, it's in the track. And it's not something Digweed has put there, because the unmixed track also got it. To me it just sounds out of place.
On a sidenote; what does he say?! Sounds like "I guess you bent", "Unless you bent", "I'm just .. ?" :)
This track and the Gui Boratto remix of Silverlake Pills are just awesome. |

To me it sounds like "I guess she bangs"...but then again I've been very wrong about this stuff in the past...:stongue:
Totally agree about Spheere and Silverlake Pills being awesome ;)
Edit: I was listening to it last night, and I think it's more like "I heard she bangs" :haha: |

hehe, i agree 100%! 'full on rave mode' with this cd lol
washing synths, relentless basslines, on point mixing, and lots of layering the sounds of each track. this cd has it all. |

It will probably be like number 2, even though a lot of it was getting played, Digweed's 'cheeky edits' made them stand out. |
turned out to be true. the editing really made this, and the fact that they weren't brand new tracks actually helped, to some extent. However, that transition into Genesis drives me crazy every time. With just a couple minute changes, it would be incredible, but, instead, you're forced to pretend you don't hear the cacophony that results from a failure to change a handful of notes. |
