i'm in mass so i don't have the luxury of seeing these supercells. i mean it's good that we don't have them up here (building damages), but they are nice to look at...
yeah, i'm a nerd. i've just always been into the weather! :cool: |

I know this is a repost of the story and pics, but whatever. I like telling it:D
They say during a lightning/thunder storm in south florida, the average number of lightning strikes is 300. During this particular storm (I ran out to take these pics right before it hit hard) they reported the next day that there were about 3 THOUSAND strikes of lightning.
I’ll never forget that storm, it was nuts. I was scared to run to my car from the apt. building. I honestly thought I’d get hit by lightning, it was really weird. That’s not something I’m normally scared of. I’ll usually make a run for it, but I kept thinking about going to the car and then changing my mind. lol I’m glad I did.
I love storms. I love turning the lights out and opening all the blinds when it rains. It’s sexy.
actually caught a lightning bolt in this one. looks cool.

i took some pics on my camera and camera phone of some clouds but i never uploaded them. i'll probably upload some of them... |

haha me too! I was called the weather girl @ my old job because during the 2005 hurricane season I was always the one following the storms on the nhc website :stongue: I'm actually really interesting in that kinda stuff & well the money wouldn't hurt either. |
