probably right. The new ones are sometimes funny but they try too hard to bring in the 'guests' or let jackasses like ricky gervais write what was quite possibly the least funny episode of any show ever. |

what I find so bad about the new simpsons is that they rely on current events so much. gay marriage, medicinal marijuana, etc.
the old ones didnt do this nearly as much, they were timeless.
of course south park has like relied on current events for a pretty long time, so it works better for it. With the simpsons it fails. |

You cannot compare South Park and Simpsons. One is clearly 10x better. |

I think its fair to compare them in the respect that they are both popular half hour comedy cartoons which have had full length movies. In my opinion SP timed the release of their movie perfectly. Where as simpsons have not in my opinion.
The only reason I compared them in my second post is that I knew someone could just easily go "but you just said you liked sp! thats all about current events!" |

SP movie was definitely timed a lot better than simpsons. to do it 3 years into your series, and not 18 years...much better option.
imo, the simpsons movie should be the end of the simpsons. you know what i mean? like end on a high note and thats it.
think south park will make another movie? i'm doubting it |

Yeah - that's pretty much a nail on the head kind of post right there.
And Frenchie - between South Park and the Simpsons I'd really like to know which one you feel is 10x better, because I think that if you can't even compare them to begin with, then clearly neither is better than the other. :p
It really is like comparing apples and AIDS.
Edit: And I agree with Will, this should be the end. Too bad it won't be :( |
