And it's ok I never would expect you to agree with my statement.....as a matter of fact just about everybody in NYC would not agree with me on this one.....you all are so transfixed on the whole PVD + NYC = next best thing to sliced bread. It's all good!:haha:

That's because you never saw a PVD @ Roxy Set. Those were the days of PVD/NYC magic. Well the next best thing to PVD @ Twilo I hear.
Miami feels the same way about Tiesto!!!
BTW, who is Armin?!?!?!?

Well, I must say that I am glad to see that you all had fun. It is actually quite refreshing that you all say Tiesto has placed imself back on the map. I was going to go check it out but I had to be in work today(which is where I am now).

i soo concur with your statement joey -- i was going to go also but did not want to pay premium for a crappy crowd and meh setlist like in the past

Its been a LOONG time that the scene has excited me (which explains why i have been slowly venturing into minimal/tech/house since 2006).

I am *sincerely* happy to see that these nights completely exceeded expectations. :D

yup Tiesto at Glow was ridiculous and the vibe was awesome. Never really experienced that at any venue in NYC which explained why i stopped going to his shows (and ive only been to 3-4 Tiesto shows)

ive been so disillusioned with PVD (esp Summerstage) and esp Armin this yr i really have no urge to go to any of their shows anymore. and yes I'll agree with you vtec, i AM one of those that still <3 PVD but a big part of that is nostalgia, some of the best times shared with my best friends. Hearing how awesome Tiesto was -- even *im* contemplating a road trip - was even talking with a friend last night about it. Tiesto has two outdoor shows coming up on this tour (DC and CT <--and how the hell does CT get an outdoor gig from 4:30pm to 1am while NYC only has a limit of 4 hours?!! seriously this is starting to SUCK balls :whip: ) -- and hey I didn't hit up Armin (thank GOD!!!) but sounds like Tiesto has the potential to be the BETTER experience if he keeps playing the way he's been playing. :D

I don't go to Tiesto the same way my Dad and Grandma boycott Walmart.

right, those were DEF the days. "Out there and back..." I soo miss Roxy :(

well at least i have those memories from 2002-2005, the best years in the scene all around IMO (well for someone who did not get to experience the scene pre-2002)

yea, who *IS* Armin?!! EXACTLY.

Tiesto= simply amazing
my full review coming tommorow
how long before this becomes a bash tiesto thread, but thatks to PheonixBebe and Big mike for giving Tiesto the credit he deserves, both of you have alot of credibility on this board, and when the both of you say its a great show it validates the point

well, it sounds like he deserves it. (I do appreciate the compliment btw ^__^ but big mike and others on this board deserves it FARRR more than I do :p ) i mean, anyone reading the related threads, im sure they would agree. everyone is giving him his due props. believe me, no one here WANTS to bash on any dj/producer, its only cuz of experiences in the past that might have been less favorable (much less)

we all start out idealistic.

mike -- believe me, ive been on this board for awhile now...and IF joey AND vtec (who are both WELL-TRAVELED and have to quite a few shows) both say they are glad that tiesto did well and that they would have totally hit up the show, now **THAT** is something to pay attention to. :toocool:

Not to discredit anyone's opinion but shouldn't we be taking the consideration of opinions of the people who were ACTUALLY THERE?!? Not people who wanted or would have went....Either way.....Wai and I seem to agree more often than not about the shows we have both attended so I trust her judgement. :p

haddd a sickkk time... left around 315 i loved the show i just think that whenever tiesto makes a mistake he somehow can work some out, put his hands up and all of a sudden no one cares and they are chanting his name... at one time in the concert his cd skipped and i saw him like panic and then out of nowhere he just turned a different track on n completely stopped the one he was on and no one gave a ... everyone was ed up out of their minds

And what's that supposed to mean? That Brian(V-Tec)and myself have no credibility??? Brian is one of the most credible people, if not the MOST credible person, that posts on this board. He is a seasoned vetran of Trance who was once a big big big Tiesto follower/supporter. He's been going out for a long long time and knows what he is talking about.

Myself, while not as seasoned as Brian, have seen more than my fair share of events from all different DJ's. While I have been a much bigger fan of PVD and not the biggest fan of Tiesto; I respect, understand, and thank him for having such a big impact in our scene. He has produced amazing tracks for years.

So it's not like we are bashing him at all. Fact of the matter is Tiesto from '02-'04 was much better than Tiesto from '05-'07.

Well Thank You very much Alyssa for the compliment. :) Like I said in my first post, It is very refreshing to see that Tiesto rocked it proper.

And as you stated, I too still cling on to those days where PVD absolutely blew our minds away. I can only hope that Central Park this year turns out to be like the '04 central park set, give or take the rain.

Now that said, this is a Tiesto Thread. No more mention of Paul van Dyk or Armin van Boring...I mean Buuren.:wtf:
