Ferry Corsten a.k.a. GOD

So I'm in my local, crappy CD store the other day, looking under the makeshift "techno" section and I see that they're finally starting to move beyone ordering tons of Amber, Madison Avenue, Daft Punk, and Basement Jaxxx CD's...and to my surprise there are two Ferry Corsten albums there. So I says to myself the other day "Hey, how's about I buy a Ferry Corsten CD and see what this Joker is all about..." Holy ! Where the hell have I been? Oh, that's right, sub-suburban Chicago! I'd swear that there is just a bubble around this area that prevents any new trance music hitting this area (Probably because of the proximity to Indiana). But thanks to good old T.A. And for the record, I normally wouldn't post something as general and amateur as "I really like this guy..." but by golly, I really like this guy.
Anyways, back to my point, Ferry Corsten, or GOD as I'm now calling him, is ing awesome! If anyone knows where I could get ahold of some of his live sets, I'd totally dig any info. I'm all about live sets as I like to see if the DJ can think on his feet, which I'm sure GOD can.
Thanks kids!
Also, for the record, I went back and bought the other CD the next day! That's great that I'm spending money too because I just quit my job! Go figure! |

well I wouldn't go as far to commit sacriliege but I agree that Mr. Corsten is something very special.
BTW, where in the south burbs are ya? I'm from Orland Park and I agree that its crap for trance but at least we're close to the city, which is pretty nice for dance music.
Enjoy,

| between AVB, Tiesto, and Ferry Corsten (which are the three Gods of trance) I would definitely have to agree with you that Ferry Corsten is the one and only, all mighty God, "and God said... Let there be clubs". |

God did not say let there be clubs, because if he said that, then his head must have been way up his ass trying to itself out. |

elaboration = here :)
dancevalley theme 2001 = bassline type bit from underworld - king of snake + beat from signum - first strike
he blatently ripped off the cygnus X mix of madagascar
etc etc
and on a slightly different note, out of the blue 2002 is the 2nd worst production ive heard this year (after fcukin southern sun (insert mix name))... but it also has to be said that punk is a wicked tune, its just a shame he cant pump out that calibre at a more consistant rate :) |
