Although I'm not into trance, I ended up going to this after Daft Punk. The 1st half of SVD's set was pretty good for trance. I really wasn't feeling the 2nd half though. Wayyy too trancey, too many cheesey melodic build-ups. Closing with that one overated old ass Tiesto song was pretty bad (in a bad way), lol.

I liked how he was smiling and jumping the whole time (like JZ).

Edit, Kris, where were you? I thought you were coming, but Ben told me you didn't go after Daft Punk.

Old TIesto song but recent remix.

He didn't have that many build ups and if I am saying he's all that then he's all that. ;-p You know me, I don't give even Digweed, Sasha or Zabiela kudos and I actually like them. This guy rocked it and people who didn't go missed out on a really cool energetic vibe.

how long did he play for? i swear svd doesn't unleash his full spectrum unless given a proper 4+ hours. he was solid on the mixer at spundae friday night, but his tl wasn't anything crazy like his first gig here  i could be slightly biased though since i was tired as hell on friday, but what a difference 2 extra hours makes :disbelief

i had to do a double take when i saw julia posting in an svd review thread

!!!!!!!!! i was gonna go, signed up for the list and all, but i passed out around 9 and when i woke up it was 1:30! i was really looking forward to this since svd was the first dj i ever saw live at a club back when he came to circus 2 years ago. back then i didnt even know who he was but he rocked it like no other. shoulda slept longer during the day yesterday, cuz i didnt get a wink of sleep the night before after pvd. :whip:

Well, his first hour, I was actually dancing and I was very impressed for a trance DJ (no cheesey vocals about love, just banging electro-ish hard trance)! Then his 2nd half, the songs got more trancey & melodic, and you know me, I'm not really into trance. But everyone there was enjoying it. Everyone has diff taste in music! I was just giving a review of what I thought about him. :p

Yes, I noticed it was slightly different than the original (not by much, the break down was exactly the same and the beat wasn't different by much). I feel like I'm at a rave and I should take out glow sticks whenever I hear songs like that. That song is way too popular, overated, old, and played out to be remixed.

hah theres only like 10280843927387 remixes of "traffic" and "flight 643" alone! i'm assuming he played one of those. and i actually have to agree with you on this one, tiesto hasn't been able to come out with any good tracks lately so everyone is remixing his old track, which needs to stop, cuz seriously its still the same track.

How can I put last night into perspective...... AMAZING.....OMG.....OWNED.....

This has to be by far the best event I have ever experienced! SVD put it down like none other. By far the most energetic show ever. He was having as much fun as everybody. I cant recall a time that I didnt want to leave the dance floor, I could have gone forever it seemed.

Can you say, new favorite DJ.........
