Eeuwww, that was another song that when I heard it, I was like are you serious? This song needs to retire already. I think I'm getting too old to listen to this "up-lifting" melodic stuff. I'm almost 26. :( |
i would have loved if he played the ORG the remix wasnt that great cept i love the org song so i enjoyed it. |

WOW! You are getting too old! hahahaha... There's no age limit to what you should listen to but I do know our taste in music does change though. I don't care for melodic stuff anymore either. ;)
| quote: | Like I mentioned in a previous post, epic/up-lifting/melodic trance songs with break downs make me feel like I should be in a rave with glow sticks and light shows, especially when the song is like 10 years old and VERY played out (whether it's a new remix or not).
|
I remember you used to put on a little show with your lights on a little rope. I bet that was fun. :tongue3 |

Yea, it seems to be a pattern with the displaced value between the age you started with edm and the age you are now :)
(How long you have been listening to EDM)
Some melody is good, NEW melodic trance isnt :toothless
Great reviews though! Sounded like a total blast, I was on a hiking trip in Palm Springs over the weekend so I think I shared the same joy. |

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had ONE HELL OF A NIGHTT!!!! Dayammnn, what a way to celebrate a birthday ;). I went NUTS when he played Bells of Tiananmen at the end... not to mention I was pretty plastered as a birthday boy should be!!
I met some TAs that night, but I've already forgotten who they were. Oops! Thanks anyway Jules ;)
In fact, I had SUCH a good time that the fact that I lost my camera there doesn't even bother me!! (well, maybe a little, but I'm over it). |

Although I'm not into trance, I ended up going to this after Daft Punk. The 1st half of SVD's set was pretty good for trance. I really wasn't feeling the 2nd half though. Wayyy too trancey, too many cheesey melodic build-ups. Closing with that one overated old ass Tiesto song was pretty bad (in a bad way), lol.
I liked how he was smiling and jumping the whole time (like JZ).
Edit, Kris, where were you? I thought you were coming, but Ben told me you didn't go after Daft Punk. |
you know your best part of the night was meeting me =) lol
thanks for introducing me to a lot of the other ta's as well :p |
