Has anyone been to Paul Van Dyk's last shows in Central Park? Is it any good? How does it compare to Tiesto? Are there any fireworks, laser lights, etc?
Thanks |

| I, personally, enjoy going to see PvD whenever he's in NY. His shows don't really compare to Tiesto's as far as pyrotechnics/visuals but they normally do have lasers. Don't expect to see what you saw at Tiesto at a PvD show. His last show in CP wasn't too great but I thought he was ing phenomenal at Roseland on Thanksgiving Eve and at the Crobar closing party back in February. |

So you go to a show to watch fireworks/pyrotechnics and laser lights?
Its a sad day when the show matters more than the music. |

| +1 vlad. Here is my two cents... Till this day the only live act I have seen so far is pvd last year, at cp. Please take into consideration that I'm only 16 , but I have to say it was a lot more than I expected and it was a unforgetable experience for me....I have heard tiesto sets from live shows at home and the same goes for pvd......pvd takes a big in tijs's mouth..... |

i went to the Central Park show in 05 and it was mindblowing.
then i went to the show in 06 and was severely disappointed and he turned me off altogether.
if his 06 show was up to par, i'd definitely go see him again.
but after last time...ugh :nervous:
maybe if i had the money to risk. |

I hope this is a serious question, and I will treat it as such, but do have reservations that this might be geared towards instigating something
PVD in central park is pretty special, thus it being in its 5th year, and being 2 nights, for some its just about being seen, or an event they go to very year, no matter what, for others its about PVD
Its in the middle of the park, with plenty of grass and trees, and yes there are lasers when the sun goes down, electronic music is such a tranquil setting is kind of cool, the sound systems they set up are awesome, and the layout is fantastic
In terms of music that's up to everyones taste, I love his style of music and the new album might be a little more laid back and a little more "pop" than some are used to, with that being said I love it and the event, its what basically put Made on the map so they tend to an excellent job with the whole thing |

| Seeing Ashley Tomberlin would be the only reason I'd go see him this year... |
