the public consistently creates the market for this kind of attention for them - you said yourself you enjoy celebrity gossip.
it's an all or nothing situation - you can't pick and choose. moreover, the media surely isn't going to ignore stuff like this, as it's guaranteed viewers/readers/MONEY.
and i don't get the 'maybe if people left her alone,' - it certainly isn't photographers feeding her drinks - MAYBE IF HER IMMEDIATE CIRCLE OF FRIENDS STOPPED BEING KNOBS AND SHE GOT A GRIP this wouldn't happen. |

I also feel sorry for her. It must be overwhelming to deal with your life under a microscope at that age. She probably feels like she doesn't know how to get her together and why does it matter since her reputation for being a lush and a coke head is so widely accepted anyways.
Everyday people - people on this board even - behave in far more reckless ways than this girl. |

You know what...you're right. It isn't necesarily faulted by the media, but they do portray her a certain way. I'm guessing she probably enjoys the attention of being one of the 'wild' girls and might feed off it. They probably initially started trying drugs because they thought they were cool. They were probably to young when they first started and got hooked.
I'm sure she would continue her ways if there was no media attention on her. But like everyone else was saying...does she even care the try and change her ways? If she did then she wouldn't stay in LA. Staying in LA is just asking for trouble.
PS. On a side note, apprently Britney is pregnant again, and this time, doesn't know who the father is! :eek: |

I think just doing the exact opposite of what she keeps getting arrested for would be a great start for getting your together. I think at her age she can figure out that DUI is against the law, and she should stop doing it.

I will never EVER buy the celebrity whine that it's the media that's ruining their lives and somehow it's the media's fault they are like this. BULL. There are those celebrities who enjoy staying in the spotlight, and there are those who want to live their life peacefully. I won't believe for one second Lindsey doesn't like all the attention her reckless behaviour gets her. The excuse that paparazzi follow them around everywhere, and don't let them live their lives is bull too. Obviously if you live in a huge mansion in middle of Beverly Hills, and go on public coke binges every weekend the photographers are going to be on you like flies on . Newsflash: if all they get on you for a few weeks is pictures of you reading the newspaper in the morning, they'll stop following you around pretty soon. People that don't do that makes the news don't make the news. YOU have a LOAD of money, and you're telling me you can't disappear if you really wanted to? Ahahaha. I think it was Shania Twain who said she lives in Geneva cause there nobody recognizes her when she walks on the streets, and she can enjoy life in peace. Is Shania a ing genius? No, she's simply not a hypocrite.
Basically, when it all boils down, it's no one else's fault but your own. You can shift the responsibility for your actions on whoever and whatever you like, because that's the mentality of American culture (i.e. it's everyone else's fault but my own), but at the end of the day, you make the choices that dictate your life. It takes a special type of person to be a paramedic. Same way it takes a special type of person to be a celebrity. Those that aren't up to the job end up in the gutter. |
