Anyone tried an Xbox 360 controller? I heard they work quite good for PC gaming.. |
Not if you're using emulators or anything that requires D-pad use... the 360's D-pad is absolutely terrible :whip: |

have you actually gotten it to work? I looked into that a few weeks ago, & it seemed like it was about a 50/50 success rate, and either way, you had a controller you couldn't use on an xbox anymore. |
I have never had a problem since day one really. I primarily use it to play GTA3/SA, and I do not remember what happened when i tried the emulator. I just play ROMS on my modded xbox. |

the analog sticks on that thing blow, though. they're even worse than the 360 controller's |
Never use em. |

| Actually I remember I used to use the analog sticks for FIFA and they seemed to work just fine. I don't play any shooters, so I don't know how it would work for that. If I were playing shooters I'd use the mouse and keyboard anyway. |

they're just way too lose. there's no resistance. it's the same reason I really dislike the 360 controllers, despite the overall improvements (like moving the black & white buttons up top). It reminds me of 64 controllers with a few months of wear on them, where the analog stick would just float around if you tipped the controller. |

| Hmm I'm thinking maybe we're talking about different game pads, or maybe I haven't worn mine out yet. |

| I guess what I meant is that I haven't experienced what you were describing. My analog sticks are fine. |

| I was once on a hunt for the best PC game controller. I've tried just about everything and nothing in my opinion is better than an original Playstation controller. Buy the SuperJoyBox USB adapter for PS controllers, it works the best as I've used other brands and they are not as good. This one works flawlessly. It has 2 ports on it so you can have 2 PS controllers for 2 player games. You can also use PS2 controllers, but for the games I play, mostly oldschool MAME games, I don't need the thumbstick and it just gets in the way. |

| i prefer to use a keyboard and mouse. i find it works better for FPS and real time strategy games. |
