My earliest EDM influences would have to go to bands like Depeche Mode, Skinny Puppy, and other industrial type bands. When I started hitting the club scene in '90 /'91, the big tracks that brought me in were:

Dee-lite- Groove Is In The Heart
Technotronic- Pump Up The Jam
Crystal Waters- Gypsy Woman
KLF- What Time Is Love?
3am Eternal
Last Train To Trancentral
Justified And Ancient
C&C Music Factory- Gonna Make You Sweat
Things That Make You Go Hmmm
CeCe Peniston- Finally

OLD SKOOL!

New Order did it for me too...Substance 1984 is solid from start to finish. yay for high school friends with older siblings who were into better music than we were and showed us the light :D

Holy cow. I used to breakdance to Tour de France!

JMJ did some amazing New Age... I liked Vangelis in that category of music back then.

The soundtrack to Blade Runner is still one of my all-time favourite OSTs. Rachel's Song always makes me melt.
