OK, looking to go to I love Techno in November. Have never been overseas! Where should we try to fly into, from U.S. .....and from there, any suggestions about where to stay, etc? Party info, venue, all that...
Thanks for any help ;)

You should fly into Brussels...
Stay somewhere near Gent cause that is where the party is.

You'll probably have to book a flight to London or Paris, and then take another plane to Zaventem Airport, Brussels.

In Brussels, you'll have to take the train to Ghent (that's a 30 minute-trip).

There is a railstation @ Brussels Airport from where you can take the train to Brussels(the airport is just out of the city) and there you should take another train to Gent. In Gent there is a free shuttle-service to the venue.
Hydra
There are direct flights between JFK / Atlanta and Brussels. Flying to London or Paris first is not necessary.

Chicago O'hare too

Regarding places to crash, I don't know what your budjet is, (although, if you're crazy enough to come to europe for ILT, your budjet will be quite consirable I guess ;) ) but there are lots of hostels and hotels available.

Since you're from the US you should be familiar with holiday inn's. If you want to make it really comfortable for yourself, take the holiday inn @ GENT-Expo (same expo area where I love techno takes place)or Brussels airport

If you have to land in London or Paris you can also take the High speed train Eurostar (London) or Thalys (Paris) to Brussels. At Brussels there will be regular train to Gent where the ILT take place

it's all about the end when he was dead but the fat rolls kept making the sound "woooooooooooooo!!!"

Hello all. I definitely plan on heading to Belgium for ILT and was wondering how much it costs to *stay* in Belgium. I'm not referring to hotel prices though. I'd like to know how much a decent meal would run me, or how much a cup of coffee, or alcohol at a bar is out there, as I've heard it's pretty expensive in certain parts.

uh If you are coming from New York I don't think you will find Belgium expensive.

it indeed depends on where: in the countryside it's cheaper than on the touristic places, but it'qs probably cheaper than NY.
1.80 for a coca cola/pepsi is a normal price where I live, Normal beer is the same price. But I know bars where it's only 1 euro for a beer...

Thanks for the info. How's airport security out there? Similar to the US?? No metal, remove shoes, no drinks, etc? Will I be able to bring carry-on items on the way back or will I have to check all of my bags? How long does it usually take to get through it all and make it to the terminal?
