Before this thread gets too out of hand, I will need to interject some important announcements.
- Keep in mind that I do this FOR THE TA's, and get insurance coverage for a specified amount of people. The police and fire department are also aware of the numbers. I do not want this to be a free-for-all, so DO NOT post this info on other messageboards, or invite your entire intramural extreme frisbee team, etc... because in the end I am responsible for everyone who attends and liable if anything goes wrong.
- Aside from the liability, the toilets also have their limits. ;)
- This year's party has the potential to be HUGE (if the weather is good), and it scares me because I dont even know the majority of the TA's that are members now. And say if everyone who was coming wanted to bring a friend or 2, you can see how quickly a expected 150-200 person party can turn into much, much more. :nervous:
- After last year's party, an idiot (who'd been up for 3 days on drugs and booze) drove off and hit & run a car, just a few blocks from my house. Thank G-d it was never connected to the party.(So if that guy is reading this right now, please don't bother showing up this year). :whip: DO NOT be this year's idiot.
- May I remind everyone that this is a BBQ. A BBQ is place to eat and drink and have fun. This will not turn into a massive drug fest, as this is a public street, the eyes of our neighbors are watching, the police do drop by to check in, and I do not plan to hire paramedics.
- That being said, I hope you can respect this simple request and try and keep it as 'clean' as possible. If I see anyone who's 'gone overboard', I will have no problem dragging their lifeless body to the nearest dumpster and leaving them in there. ;) So if you think you can't enjoy a daytime BBQ without a coctail of heavy drugs, then perhaps you should stay home. Again- you are my liability. Please party responsibly.
- And just for Jamie- this year's lineup has 2 techno sets booked already. ;)
* and while I hate to say this, we are going thru some major personal hurdles in our lives right not, and as a result this event is not 100% guaranteed as of yet, so lets all hope this is a go. |

I think a couple of bob marley sticks, some brews and burgers should be enough. |
