I'm not sure why there is all this hate for JP. I think people may probably jealous with his success and don't necessarily like his approach - but the guy obviously has talent to carry such big clubs and get so many bookings.
All I know is that the Halloween party I was at with JP for 24 hours @ Soundfactory was friggin amazing. |

Everyone in NYC hates him cause the only reason his crowd follows him is cause they are so cracked out they don't know where else to go. He is the reason the EDM scene in NYC has a bad name.
I am glad activate had a good time but please come back on another night and hit up places like Love, Sullivan Room and Rebel those places are the .
tatgirl: "True Life: I'm a clubber" crazy girl snorted off the floor while stalking JP...they NEVER show it on MTV anymore, one of the best episodes though. |

Its like cozo at 4pm sunday, on roids, with a side of new jersey guido attitude.

Crowd on Saturday was nothing like that. People for the most part were pretty friendly and normal looking. though the guidos definitely had a noticable presence. but it was no differnt the the woodbridge quido contingent at Toronto afterhours clubs. I also see more meatheads at the drink/skybar on a saturday then I did there.. the one thing though.. the guys were soo freakin agressive with the women. I've never seen anything like it in my life. |

I am GLAD you didnt get that impression. ;) I would hate for you to come down to our city and witness what I described. But as phuzzyfish said, your experience is not typical on a normal JP night, and you ought to come out to other clubs/nights that have a good rating with the locals ;) The people of the city and the people (genos) of NJ/ Long Island tend to have different ideas of what a good party is imo.
PS: I have no idea what JP brings out in other cities (ie: miami, etc), I am merely reflecting on my own experience and the COUNTLESS complaints and stories that I have heard since I got here. its never ENDING I tell you. lol hence me feeling strongly about it. ;) but I am glad you had fun regardless. |

I went to some other club on Friday.. i think it was called Home? was on the same block that twilo was on. now THAT was a ty ing crowd.
what's up with that block by the way? didn't the city pretty much force twilo to close? and now there are like 6 clubs on that one block. |
