Does anyone remember Real World San Francisco (1994), I'm sure the TAs in their 20s+ might remember this show. How it was all over the news when one of the Homosexual cast member Pedro Zamora passed away from AIDS hours before the final shooting. I remember that season so well and how it touched me and my sister. He was a man with a heart of gold and throughout the show he ecouraged people to live their lives to the fullest like he was even though he knew he was going to die.To this day Real World : SF is the only reality show that really impressed me. |

Nothing that airs on the Discovery channel qualifies as reality TV in the sense we're discussing it here.
There was a time when those were called "documentaries" ;) |

yeah "reality" TV has become to scripted that its just a joke. The Real World on MTV started out in a pretty decent concept - i mean, 7 random peple living together, there's bound to be something entertaining about it....
but year after year those "7 random people" became "the jock, the blond, the gay guy, the black guy, the black girl, the other white girl, and some lamewad".
can't believe that show has been around for over a decade now. damn. |

There has never been a show with more back stabbing, scandal, deciet, shock, and holy factor that ive ever seen... and Gasp!!! dare i even say its better than Amazing Race.. yes.. it is...
And the first 5 seasons of Survivor i was absolutly gluded to... for the same reasons, but Big Brother has taken that whole level of game play to a new notch b/c survivor was about surviving the elemetns... well who cares.. its all abotu mental game play which BB totally captures...
i can go on... It just pisses me off that they only show it once a year, but is in ingenious how its live and on 3 times a week during the lull of the summer.. |

Hahaha, totally. I can also deal with Jessica being quite possibly the dumbest person of all time and Dick being the most annoying. Just for that one minute of Jen looking like she does. |
