What's the best one out there for rewards?
i.e. cash back/points/low interest |

if you drive a lot
Canadian Tire Gas Advantage card - up to 10c a litre off at CT gas bars (depending on monthly spending)
Canadian Tire Options MasterCard - 1% of all purchases is rewarded in Canadian Tire Money
More cards to come from CT (but cannot speak about them yet!)
Line of credits are the best for low interest and low minimum payments |

Interest-wise... not reward wise... those money saved in interest you can make into some pretty sweet rewards for yourself :D

i remember reading about that when i got my Scene Card (a free card that gets your 10% off concession stand purchases and all movie ticket purchases give you points to go to free movies... pretty good for free, i'll take it ;)) ... the bonuses attached to the Scotaibank Scene credit card were even more advantageous if one was interested.

Going to look into that actually, thanks for mentioning it. I do drive a great deal (to Toronto and back almost every or every other weekend!) |

sometimes a rate of 6 or 7% as opposed to 18% is a sweeter deal :)
I personally like my CIBC visa cards (no annual fee), one of them is an Optimal card, so I collect more points in Drug Mart |

I like to collect Aeroplan Air miles...
So I have the American Express Aeroplan Card.
It's $60/year, and is technically a Charge Card, which means there's no Credit Limit
The only catch is that you have to pay the balance in full at the end of the month, which I always do anyways haha. Not quite sure what happens if you don't pay it :conf:
I pretty much have enough for a free flight to anywhere in Europe right now which is pretty nice :D). Got 15,000 bonus miles for signing up too!
I heard the best is the RBC Avion card. You collect reward points which can be used for anything, including airfare. The best part is its not limited to many restrictions either. |

National Bank Platinum card.
one of the best perks included is doubling the manufacturer warranty on everything you buy with it.
the point system comes to about 1.36% of cash back. |
