"People who drink diet soft drinks don't lose weight. In fact, they gain weight, a new study shows."

"That may be just what happens when we offer our bodies the sweet taste of diet drinks, but give them no calories. Fowler points to a recent study in which feeding artificial sweeteners to rat pups made them crave more calories than animals fed real sugar."

Take with the appropriate sized grain of salt, that's from 2005.

If you DON'T know about that, you're very well uneducated. I know it's worse for you but like most things. What taste good is probably bad for you.

I'm allergic to diet soda and stuff like that, it's the phenylalanine or however it's spelled, the fake sugar. If I have large amounts, I break out like I have chicken pox. Diet stuff tastes worst than regular stuff anyway, so I'm glad I'm allergic to diet, instead of the normal stuff.

The so-called "diet coke" can right off.

Original or bust.

I definitely go for the diet coke more due to taste, but I've quit drinking soda altogether.

The only place that seems to carry Vanilla Coke in San Diego now is the Rubio's restaurant
