It's like cross between a saw and a plucked guitar and it's in half their tracks. Does anybody know how exactly they create that noise!
Edit:
Sample - from JoC - Exactly and Eco - Light At The End (Lost World Remix)

Ps may as well ask now I'm here, is there a better way to upload samples than a file sharing site? |

Try this, I managed to get close on my Virus. It should be possible on most synths.
Set Osc1 to sawtooth and Osc2 to pulse, adjust the pulsewidth so you get a narrow pulse. Mix the Oscs about 60/40%. Turn the cutoff down to almost zero. Set filter sustain to zero and filter decay to a low value. Raise filter env amount to a high value. The filter settings need to be tweaked alot to get that pluck sound. A short filter decay is important to get that guitar pluck sound. |

that's right and for more of the guitar like sound you need to SLOWLY modulate the pwm with an LFO. it gives this special guitar vibe. |
