Ok so the pseudo-fake genre my roomie & I dubbed "trouse" (trance + house) has been renamed "ManTrance" in philly.
This is the Eric Prydz/ Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso/ Mark Knight / Dave Spoon really hard house with the "fake electro" dirty bass patch...
I called it trouse cause it's fast like trance, but funky like house; and basically just fun to dance too. And, if your mixing; you can jump between housey tracks and trancey tracks; and have the best of both worlds.
I'm just inquiring as to where NYTA stands on this type of music :) |

Yup. But see, I like to babble when I drink Capn. I was driking Capn an hour before this thread went up.
And I was drinking it @ Sully.
So unless you want your ear yakked off don't approach me when I have a drink in my hands.
But back to trouse; what do they call it in the UK? I remember reading Ferry Corsten articles where he has said that he was trying to bridge the gaps between the genres because you can only take so many epic bangers, tastes have changed, and (I'm guessing) generate more sales. |
