Craigslist is the same, I don't know about personals but apt/house hunting is great on there, and everything else I have used it for has been nothing but good. I'm currently looking for a new job on there and have great interviews ( just not totally what I am looking for). IT's much more local for the stuff you really need/want, for a lot of items you can request the seller to send you more info, pics, call you or email you about it. |

Yeah that's true. I do that for MySpace now. I really don't want to meet people on there but sometimes I feel like it's one of the few places where I can meet some people who might share common interests or where I can see what they are like before deciding to add them/message them. Been hard to meet people in real life for me (and believe me, i've tried). So maybe it's the same with the thread starter? Shyness can get the best of you...so personal ads are sometimes used as a "desperate" last resort (in my case they would be) if everything else fails. |
