So I have a personals ad on CraigsList right now.

http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cas/391701612.html

Think it's nice or sucky? Be 100 % honest and if it's really that bad, what should be changed, removed, or added?

lol

casual encounters

after posting there, you'll be posting in missed connections

Don't use Craigslist for personals....I wouldn't trust that site for anything. Actually..even though it hasn't yieled me with the best results yet..meeting people on MySpace or Facebook who live in your area or go to your school (if you have one) is probably a better bet than any personal ad site. Just browse..find someone who has similar interests or a good personality and strike up a conversation...message them. See how that works...if not..meet someone in real life at school, work, club, activity etc.

as for the ad

extremely geeky, especially with listing metric units alongside american units

i'd choose better pictures

you'd succeed better if you were posting on men seeking women

this isn't really a casual encounters ad. that section is for random STD 420/skiing happy until after the next morning sex

I've never used it. It just seems like the sketchiest site on the intratubes.

edit: never used it for anything.

I found my job on craigslist a few years ago, my bestfriend as well. My ex bf found his apartment on there. I got tickets to a concert as well. Ebay is no different. You really dont know if you're going to get what you're after.

i've used it lots of times. i just have to avoid any deals where the prices are close to the going rate that's on scalping sites as stubhub.com. usually i'd use it to buy any normal non playoff games.

nah, ebay's far better, imo, 'cuz it's not anonymous. If you don't do any research at all, sure, but it's pretty easy to avoid problems.

I was going to post some DJ Equipment to sell on there, but I posted it on TA and I had success and I trusted the people cause I saw their pictures (they had MySpace accounts) and nothing about them made me question their legitamecy.

I just wouldn't trust a site like that...seems sketchy. I wouldn't trust Monster.com either and none of those personal ad sites like EHarmony or Match.com I guess some caution before proceeding is a good thing, even on TA.
