Vacation with nothing to do.

So, I just finished classes, and have some time off. Now the problem is, I really don't have any money to go anywhere cool/exotic. I could maybe hop on a bus to Montreal or something, but...

Is there anything I could do in the city, aside from clubbing? I'm always up for trying different things, but just have no idea what's going on or what to try.

I know its summer and lots events are taking place, but does anybody have any specific suggestions?

I do not want to waste my vacation sitting in front of the TV.

Hell, if you would be a willing partner in crime, I would appreciate that was well.

PS - I love biking/hiking, are there some good trails in the city?

I'm a big fan of Ottawa as a city. Montreal is amazing as well.

Why not volunteer at a Toronto event?

V-fest on the island is coming up...maybe you could be a gate jockey and get to hang around the shows for free?

Personally if I had a bunch of time off, I'd make projects for myself - go through those boxes in your basement, clean your kitchen...I'd also take day trips on my bike to toronto island or along the humber.

Grab a good book, load up the ipod and just get outside! Or go to the ROM - be a tourist.

Yeah, I'm a tech guy, and have about 5-10 projects on the go right now. The problem is, I spend so much time in front of computer screens, and soldering irons, that I just need to find different projects.

Also, considering the state of our government, and world, I just started reading 1984 :D.

I will be checking out the ROM for sure, because I have not been there since I was a kid, which is very sad.

You're going to lose a lot of money from not being able to give handjobs tho.
