I was stuck at a light today waiting to make a left turn, when I noticed the amount of women who were driving SUVs even trucks. I dont know if it was just the area but it was like 5 cars in a row, first an Expedition then Navigator, F-150,H2....
Jeez! I dont even understand how they pay gas for those especially this summer! :eek: |

| if you drive 15,000 miles per year in a car that gets only 10 miles per gallon (as the very worst, like the cadillac, do...even the bigger hummers get 12-15 or something), you're still only paying an extra $1500 per year from a $1 increase in gas prices. If somebody's paying $6,000+ per year just for a lease on something, it's not so insane, especially since a much more reasonable number, like 20 mpg for 10,000 miles is only an extra 500 bucks a year. OMG HOW DO YOU PAY FOR GAS is a pretty pointless question. |

I really think it might have something to do with the need to feel safe. My girlfriend, for example, says she'd like to have a SUV so no one would want to mess with her on traffic.
I, on the other hand, have always wanted a Mini Austin... I like adventures :D |

| we always hire an opel astra or corsa, i forget which, when abroad. It rocked, good mpg, good fuel prices there, not too big or too small, nice stereo & it gets you from a to b. couldn't ask for more. |

| actually, I did a little quick research, and for a 3-year lease on a bare bones, starting price Hummer H2, you're paying at least $18,000 per year on a 3-year lease. At 15,000 miles, that means about $1,100 extra for another $1 raise in gas prices. Meaningless. |
