The version on the Matrix soundtrack is a remix

That's because the original was actually 1997 ;)

A lot of the titles people have listed in this thread really confuse me - I still hear many of them pretty regularly.

hybrid done a remix for it
and the kurayamino mix is actually the original by rob himself, there is no "original mix" so to speak

I saw this thread and one forgotten choon that stuck in my head was:

Coast 2 Coast - Home

I think that I will have to dig out this vinyl.

Show me one release by Binary Finary titled "1997" and I'll give you a golden pig. I own the original 1998 though. I have it on single and on a compilation mix so it's not that rare.

http://www.discogs.com/release/74454. It's apparently called "First Mix By Rob Dougan".

No, you hear the "NUXX" 4/4 version. That's not the original. :p

Isn't NUXX from a live set ? His voice sounds horrible. The original studio recorded version is naice.

I think the point Kr00t was trying to make was the Original was actually first released in 1997 on Aquarius Records.
Then later Positiva released it in 1998.

I have that Aquarius vinyl, and its an absolute cracker, with 'Zapya' on the B side.

The Original is my favourite tune of all time.

well yeah, it's more cases where remixes have overshadowed the original mixes to the point where people think the popular versions are the originals.. regardless of how 'remembered' the tune name is

nope, that's the nuxx version :p the original is basically an entirely different tune altogether. i wonder why they even share the same name...

LOL, I just checked that on Wiki.

"Born Slippy" is a single by Underworld, originally released in 1995 and has never appeared on an album. The track is instrumental and features no lyrics. Despite this, it is often confused with the more popular vocal track, "Born Slippy .NUXX", because of the similar name. However, they are completely different in composition and sound.

Guess I've never heard the original "Born Slippy" then.
